Family Caregiver Division The Homecare & Hospice Association of Utah is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that has served Utah for 20+ years. We are led by a Board of Directors and supported by a host of volunteer committees and a small paid staff. Our Mission: To create awareness of family caregiving issues and improve quality of life for family caregivers and care receivers through Information, Advocacy, Support, and Access to Resources. Our Vision: To ensure that Utah family caregivers receive available information and resources as early as possible during the care of their loved ones. |

If you are helping someone with any of these tasks, you’re not alone. Per AARP, nearly half of all Utahn’s who are 40 + years old have experience as a caregiver for an adult family member or loved one. When all the younger family caregivers and caregivers caring for a child with a disability are considered, the numbers are even more humbling. As reported in the Utah Family Caregiver plan, it is estimated that there are over 450,000 unpaid family caregivers in the State! You are part of a very important and diverse group. Caregivers may live with their loved one or provide long-distance care. Some caregivers are juggling care with work and/or raising a family. Caregiving demands time, resources, love, and energy.
